The history of the NBA is littered with the bones of a good team that wasn’t good enough. A symbolic and memorable team that couldn’t get over the hump. Perhaps a team as famous as the Utah Jazz team, led by John Stockton and Karl Malone in the 1980s and 90s, wouldn’t fit the bill.
They had the best point guards, power forwards, head coaches, and home court advantages in basketball history. They played 18 times in 18 seasons, won 16 postseason series, won two NBA Finals … and won the Zero Championship.
