Trae Young, John Collins Combine for 38 in Black Pearl Elite’s Drew League Upset Loss | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

Trae Young and John Collins are the latest NBA players to play in the Drew League this season, with the Atlanta Hawks star appearing in the Black Pearl Elite against the City Team Blazers on Saturday.

The Black Pearl Elite lost 11 points in the fourth quarter and fell within 1 point with 1.3 seconds remaining, but the Citi team maintained a 103-100 victory.

The Hawks duo scored 38 points, but was an inefficient 13-of-32 from the field.

The final score did not favor them, but Young and Collins gave a lot to cheer on the fans who attended.

When Young wasn’t helping his teammates set up, he was showing off a patented shooter touch to bring the elite back into the game.

The two All-Stars were also attacking the basket when they found an opening to avoid the defender.

It was an overall tough day for Collins, who had fouled and was on the receiving side of the poster dunk in the third quarter.

The show by Young and Collins was pale compared to what LeBron James did when he returned to Drew League play last weekend. The four NBAM VPs were MMV Cheetah’s 42 points, 16 rebounds and 4 steals against the Black Pearl Elite.

Kevin Panther Jr. was later nominated as a player in the game drop The Blazers scored 26 points and 7 rebounds.

This was certainly not the exciting moment of victory that Young might have expected in his first Drew League appearance since 2019, but the floor where two high-level NBA players didn’t cruise. Prove how talented you are to victory.
