Bruins wasn’t afraid to hire outside of Los Angeles in recent years. This shined in the successful pursuit of freshmen Kiki Rice and Christine Iwara from Washington, DC and Texas, respectively.
And with UCLA moving from Pac-12 to Big Ten in 2024 (which will be Prince’s freshman year), Bruins is more likely to attract new Midwestern hires in Los Angeles. For Prince, UCLA regularly plays conference games in her home state, just 50 miles from Lincoln’s high school.
It will take some time before the decision is made to hire Prince. Bruins may win a visit if they are in close contact with Elkhorn, Nebraska.
