UConn’s Dan Hurley to miss N.J. homecoming vs. Seton Hall

Don’t look for your ex from Jersey City seton hall guard Dan Hurley Tonight, his UConn Huskies at the Prudential Center visit Pirate.

Per UConn PR:

STORRS – UConn men’s basketball head coach Dan Hurley and associate head coach Kimani Young, who have each tested positive for the Covid virus, will coach Wednesday night’s game against Seton Hall at the Prudential Center. This follows the absence of assistant coach Tom Moore at last week’s game against Marquette for the same reason.

UConn assistant coaches Moore and Luke Murray will undertake in-game head coaching duties, assisted by Player Development Director Mamadou Diarra and Video and Scouting Coordinator Matthew Johnson.

Neither Coach Hurley nor Coach Young traveled to New Jersey with the team on Tuesday. They are expected to return to team activities after a normal quarantine period and resolution of symptoms.

The Pirates are 6-2 in home games. Seton Hall is averaging 69.6 points and he has 5.8 points per game ahead of his opponents.

The Huskies won 4-4 against their Big East opponents. UConn has him 10.7 offensive rebounds per game, which ranks him third in the Big East. Adama Sanogo Average 2.2.

Wednesday’s matchup will be the first meeting between the two teams in conference play this season.
