Week three and season-to-date noteworthy PFF grades – The Daily Hoosier

As we do each week, below are some notable IU soccer performers from soccer grading service PFF.

Three weeks into the season, the PFF’s data confirms the changes we’re seeing in the running back position, as Josh Henderson moved to the committee with Sean Shivers, according to head coach Tom Allen.

On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Cam Jones has put together an All-Big Ten caliber season throughout the first quarter of the campaign.

Here’s a recap of the leaders and laggards for Week 3 and this season.

Week 3 notes

run back Josh Henderson It was the highest score by an offensive player.Linebackers among players who saw important snaps cam jones It was the highest score by a defensive player.

aggressive lineman Khalil Benson It seems to have won the right guard position.He beat Tim Weaver to his 2-1 on the snap and Benson was his best offensive lineman in run blocks and his second highest in pass blocks. Luke Haggard.

Although he’s only played 12 snaps, Freshman’s defensive tackles are notable. Nick James Aided by his ability to pressure quarterbacks, he actually earned the highest overall defensive grade. We’ll see if his playing time continues to grow.

backup linebacker Jared Casey He seemed to make a few mistakes over the course of the game, especially with Runfit, resulting in the worst overall defensive grade on the team.

Of the quarterbacks with 90 or more dropbacks, Connor Bazellak Ranked 48th in the country among FBS quarterbacks in terms of passing scores

cam camper It ranks 38th nationally among receivers with at least 28 targets.

Luke Haggard Among all offensive linemen with at least 97 pass blocking snaps, he ranks 44th nationally in pass blocking. Khalil Benson Has the best run block grade on the team this season.

cam jones His overall defensive grade is the best on the team, ranking 17th in the nation among all defenders with at least 163 snaps. His run defense grade is also the best on the team, fifth among all defenders with at least 74 run defense snaps. He still hasn’t missed a tackle all year on run defense.

corner back Brian Lanier Having played in just 49 snaps, he has the highest tackle grade on the team for the season.

Among players with many coverage snaps, Noah Pierre has the best performance on the team, followed by Tierwan Maren.

Among the players whose snaps stand out, Jared Casey When Bryant Fitzgerald Two of the worst overall defensive grades so far.

Among the players whose snaps stand out, Josh Henderson Comprehensive attack grade is the highest, followed by DJ Matthews When Luke Haggard.

some aggressive linemen (Caleb Murphy, Zach Carpenter, Parker Hannah, Mike Katic, Tim Weaver) and the receiver Andison Covey It constitutes the worst overall attack grade.
