WOMEN’S AND MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS PLACE THIRD IN FRANK DILLON MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL

Syracuse, NY – Le Moyne College’s women’s and men’s cross country teams finished third overall at the annual Frank Dillon Memorial Invitation held here at Le Moyne College.Senior Camryn Cortez (Syracuse NY/Westhill) Finishing in 8th place led the girls to 3rd place, and the redshirt sophomore Matt Bartolotta (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) 2nd place followed by 2nd year students in red shirts Nicholas Berg (Minoa, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) Finishing in 3rd place also led the men’s team to a 3rd place finish.

‘It’s good to be back in racing,’ said head coach Robin Weales“This race was a bit of a rusty race. But we need to tighten up the top five to bring down the scores. I think in the coming weeks we’ll see the scorers grow. SUNY ESF dominated the men’s 6-kilometer course with 42 points, followed by Daemen with 59 points, one point ahead of Le Moyne, and the Dolphins in third overall.

Daimon University won the women’s championship with 17 points, SUNY-ESF was second with 73 points, and the Dolphins were third with 86 points.


Cortes, who started this season, finished eighth with a time of 16:16.9. Sophomore Hilda Kiprono (Kenya Eldoret / Kapsabet Girls’ High School) He finished 17th with a time of 17:13.5, followed by a redshirt sophomore. Sofia Bisagnano (Albany, NY/Colony) 18th place with 17 minutes 18.2 seconds.
