Women’s College World Series 2022: Jocelyn Alo, Tiare Jennings star as Oklahoma rolls in Game 1

Oklahoma rode the attacks of Joslyn Alo and Tier Legenings all year round. A duo joined for 59 home runs in 60 games heading to Game 1 of the Women’s College World Series final on Wednesday.

So it makes sense that Alo and Jennings were shining when the Suners needed them most. When Oklahoma broke through Texas 16-1, they each hit two home runs.

Oklahoma’s 16 runs set the record for the team to score the most in the WCWS final.

The Longhorns started quickly and culminated in the first courtesy of Hope Troutwayne’s grand slam.

However, Alo changed the situation at the bottom of the first match, hitting a screw ball against the left wing stand to lead the OU. For Texas, it only got worse as the Suners hit six home runs at night and tore the game.

There is at least one more game to play in the Best of Three series. It will be Thursday at 7:30 pm (Eastern Time). The Longhorns need to find another level after having a hard time dealing with Oklahoma bats in Game 1.
